Visit Medallus Urgent Care for injuries like sprains, cuts requiring stitches, minor burns, flu symptoms, ear infections, UTIs, and minor fractures. Choose urgent care when your primary doctor isn't available but the condition isn't severe enough for the emergency room.

What's the difference between urgent care and emergency room? Urgent Care

Urgent care treats non-life-threatening conditions with shorter wait times and lower costs. Emergency rooms handle life-threatening emergencies like heart attacks, severe injuries, difficulty breathing, and major trauma. If you're unsure whether your condition is life-threatening, Medallus Urgent Care can evaluate and refer you to the ER if needed.

Do I need an appointment for urgent care at Medallus? Appointments

No appointment necessary at any Medallus Urgent Care location in Utah. We offer walk-in urgent care services with extended hours, 7 days a week. Simply walk into any of our 8 Utah locations during operating hours for immediate medical attention from our board-certified physicians.

How much does an urgent care visit cost at Medallus? Pricing

Medallus Urgent Care offers transparent pricing: $219 for regular visits including X-ray when needed, and $319 for procedure visits such as IV fluids, splinting, casting, suturing, and minor procedures. Premium and Annual members pay $10 visits; Budget Monthly members pay $75 visits. We accept most major insurance plans.

What conditions can urgent care treat? Services

Medallus Urgent Care treats minor injuries (cuts, sprains, fractures), infections (ear, sinus, UTI), respiratory conditions (cold, flu, bronchitis), skin conditions, minor burns, allergic reactions, and provides diagnostic services (X-rays, lab work, EKGs). We also offer physicals, vaccinations, and occupational health services.

What insurance does Medallus Urgent Care accept? Insurance

Medallus accepts most major insurance plans including Regence Blue Cross, United Healthcare, Aetna, Cigna, Humana, Molina, Medicare, Medicaid, PEHP, Tricare, and many others. Contact any Utah location to verify your specific coverage and understand copayments.

What hours is Medallus Urgent Care open? Hours

Most Medallus Urgent Care locations are open 7 days a week with extended hours: typically 8am-8pm or 9am-8pm daily. Our Draper location offers the longest hours (8am-8pm daily). Hours may vary by location, so check your specific Utah location for exact times.

Can children be treated at Medallus Urgent Care? Services

Yes, Medallus Urgent Care treats patients of all ages, including infants, children, and adolescents. Our board-certified physicians commonly treat pediatric conditions including ear infections, minor injuries, fever, rashes, respiratory symptoms, and provide school and sports physicals for school activities.

Average wait times at Medallus Urgent Care are typically 15-30 minutes, much shorter than emergency room visits which can take hours. Wait times may vary based on patient volume and severity of conditions being treated. We strive to see patients as quickly as possible while maintaining quality care.

Does Medallus provide X-rays and lab work? Services

Yes, all Medallus Urgent Care locations have on-site digital X-ray equipment and laboratory services. We can perform most diagnostic tests immediately, including blood work, urinalysis, rapid strep tests, pregnancy tests, EKGs, and comprehensive lab panels for faster diagnosis and treatment.

Can I get a physical exam at Medallus? Services

Yes, Medallus provides various types of physical exams including school and sports physicals for school activities, DOT physicals for commercial drivers, pre-employment physicals, missionary physicals, and annual wellness exams. No appointment necessary for most physicals.

What is the Medallus membership program? Membership

Medallus membership provides affordable healthcare without insurance hassles. Premium Monthly starts at $70/month for individuals with $10 visits and a $0 prescription plan. Annual plans start at $700/year with $10 visits and a $0 prescription plan. Budget Monthly starts at $35/month with $75 visits and does not include Rx.

Do you treat work-related injuries? Occupational Health

Yes, Medallus specializes in occupational medicine and workers' compensation cases. We provide immediate treatment for workplace injuries, manage workers' comp claims, perform return-to-work evaluations, and offer comprehensive occupational health services including drug testing and DOT physicals.

Can I get prescription refills at urgent care? Services

Yes, our physicians can provide prescription refills for ongoing medications during urgent care or primary care visits. Bring your current medication list and we can evaluate whether refills are appropriate or if adjustments are needed for your treatment plan.

What if my condition is too serious for urgent care? Urgent Care

If our physicians determine your condition requires emergency care, we will immediately refer you to the nearest emergency room and can coordinate your transfer if necessary. For life-threatening emergencies, always call 911 or go directly to the emergency room.

How do I use my Medallus Membership at a clinic? Membership

Present your ID at the clinic and inform the receptionist that you are a Medallus Member to have your visit processed under the membership benefits.

Membership visits cover urgent care and primary care services, including treatments like X-rays, EKGs, minor injury care, routine check-ups, and basic health monitoring. Premium and Annual members pay $10 visits; Budget Monthly members pay $75 visits.

Are there any services not included in my $10 visit fee? Membership

While the Medallus Membership covers a wide range of services, some items are not included: hospital and specialist visits, advanced imaging like MRI or CT scans, lab work sent to external facilities, vaccinations, DOT physicals, workers' compensation cases, sports medicine, and Durable Medical Equipment. Premium Monthly and Annual memberships include the $0 prescription plan; Budget Monthly does not include Rx.

What should I do in case of a medical emergency? Membership

For emergencies, visit the nearest emergency room. The Medallus Membership is for non-emergency medical care.

Can I use my membership for specialist consultations or hospital visits? Membership

No, the membership is exclusively for services at Medallus Medical clinics and does not cover specialist or hospital visits.

How do I schedule a Primary Care appointment? Membership

Call any Medallus clinic to schedule an appointment with a Primary Care provider. Primary Care requires an appointment when it's an extensive visit. But you can do Walk-in Primary care for medication refills and simple visits.

What happens if I need a service that's not covered by the membership? Membership

If you require a service not covered, such as a radiology read or certain lab tests, you will be informed of any additional costs upfront, often at a discounted rate for members.

Are prescription medications covered under the membership? Membership

Premium Monthly and Annual memberships include the $0 prescription plan. Budget Monthly does not include Rx. The visit with a Medallus provider for prescription evaluation or refills is handled under your plan's visit pricing.

What are the clinic hours, and do I need an appointment for Urgent Care? Membership

Most Medallus clinics are open 7 days a week and have late hours. No appointment is needed for Urgent Care or simple Primary Care visits; you can walk in for immediate care.

Can I add dependents to my Medallus Membership? Membership

The ability to add dependents to your Medallus Membership depends on how your membership was obtained. Direct Membership with Medallus: If you have enrolled in the membership directly with Medallus, it can include up to two adults and their dependents. Eligible dependents are those up to the age of 26 who are directly related to the adults and residing in the same household. Membership Through Employer: If your membership is provided through your employer, the policy for adding dependents may vary. Please consult your Benefits Director for specific details regarding your employer's plan.

Is there a limit to the number of times I can use my membership? Membership

There is no limit to the number of times you can use your Medallus Membership for eligible services within the scope of your plan.

Is there a term commitment for the Medallus Membership? Membership

Yes. All direct Medallus membership plans are 12-month memberships. Premium Monthly and Budget Monthly have a 7-day waiting period before membership activation; the Annual Plan does not have the 7-day waiting period. The process for canceling your membership depends on how you obtained it.
